Dan Silverman joined Toronto Global in 2017 as Executive Vice President, Investment Attraction after a long career as a business consultant. Mr. Silverman leads a team of investment attraction professionals who are responsible for identifying, qualifying and servicing foreign owned businesses on their expansion initiatives throughout the Toronto Region. In addition, the Toronto Global team is the group that published the Amazon HQ2 bid book representing the Toronto Region and in the eventual shortlist represented all of Ontario and Canada as the only shortlisted city outside the United States.
Mr. Silverman is a graduate of Montreal’s Concordia University as well as the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute. Mr. Silverman holds numerous board positions including the Canada Florida Chamber of Commerce, American Chamber of Commerce in Canada and International Economic Development Council. In January 2019, Mr. Silverman was awarded a Top 40 Under 40 Economic Development Professional at the International Economic Development Council Leadership Summit.
